Tutorial Number 1.

My first tutorial was to discuss any initual ideas i had had. To show any reresearch and to discuss any issues. As well as making sure we fully understood the breif. Then using the relevant reasearch we looked through some books and pick Four design that we would create toils from. Each dress had to show off a different style within the 19th century.Each dress should create a new challenge.

Well the four dresses given to me were far from easy! For each dress i would have to hire out underware that was appropriate to the period from the costume store. Then i would have to chose an appropriate fabric to create the dress in. For example the regency dress would be made from a lightweight fabric so calico would not be appropriate for a toil but a cotton or muslim would be. For one of the dresses my tutor presented me wth a new challenge to use a stripe fabric.

I left the tutorial understanding what needed to be done but feeling like it was an impossible task to complete!
I had a catch up with adel about my progress and work i definetly having been following my time scedual and need to pick up on this but the over all work is going well.
during this projecty we had to give a presentation so my group created a power point  with a slide or two each showing our progress.
I showed my second dress as i think it worked out the best of the four dresses.
